My list of resolutions for the new year.

I've been thinking about what my New Year's resolutions will be this year and this is what I've come up with.

My list of things to do this year: #1 - lose 25+ pounds. #2 - save at least 3 months of salary. #3 - scrap at least 150 pages this year.

I know, it's a tall order, but those are my goals. Wish me Luck!

December 22, 2009

Hi Everyone, Well, it's only three days until Christmas.  I'm all finished shopping, wrapping and decorating.  Traditionally we get together with family on Christmas Day but this year because of scheduling we are getting together on Christmas Eve.  Thanks to our son, our daughter is flying home on Christmas Eve.  He bought her a plane ticket home as her gift.  Very thoughtful and kind.  So it should be a fun
day and I'm looking forward to it.

My husband is like a small child, he can't wait to open gifts.  He says everyday it's time to open presents.  I keep expecting to wake up one morning and he'll be sitting by the tree tearing open his presents!  It's fun to watch him enjoy Christmas so much.  He likes to open his presents but he enjoys watching everyone else more.  He loves to give and expects nothing in return.  He is truly a remarkable man.

My list of things to do today is small.  First of all I need to do some real work for the office and second I need to finish my laundry.  Oh yeah, and maybe make some banana nut bread.  We love it fresh out of the oven with some melted butter....Yummy!!!

The tree is up, the christmas lights are on, the shopping is done and the presents are wrapped.  Now we're just waiting for the family to show up.  This is the earliest I've been finished with shopping and wrapping in a long, long time.  It actually feels pretty good and stress free!

My list of things to do today is: real work - finished, grocery shopping - I don't think is such a fun job, and laundry - everybody needs cleans clothes.

What do you say?

I say Merry Christmas! I've always said that and will continue to say it. You cannot have Christmas without Christ. He is the reason for the season and we can't change that. This woman's opinion. When someone says Happy Holidays to me, I say Merry Christmas. Not once have I had someone say it offended them. In fact, their reply is usually a Merry Christmas back. This is our custom and if you are from another country and have different religious views that ok, but don't expect our nation to change for you. If we were to visit your country would they change their customs? Of course not. So why should we?

I can mark Christmas shopping and gift wrapping off the list! I finished both this weekend and now I can sit back and enjoy the season with my better half. We had to put up a new tree this year and he dearly loves it. He says everyday what a beautiful tree it is. It makes me so happy that he's so happy. We hired a handyman to put up a few outside lights this year also. He is totally enjoying them. It's been a good Christmas already!

For Scrapping Out Loud

Happy Saturday to everyone! This is a photo I wanted to share. I took this picture and played around with the color and blur, etc., and I just love how it turned out! Merry Christmas!
So my list of things to do today is: number one - start wrapping gifts! If I accomplish nothing else I really need to get this started. So wish me luck and we'll see what happens.

I also wanted to share this blog with everyone. Mandy is so talented and I just love her pages. Always so beautiful and detailed. Right now she is doing a 12 Days of Distressing techniques. Lots of great ideas and techniques. Check out her'll love it!

December 5, 2009

Well, today is going to be a busy one. Our son is coming over for his b-day dinner, tacos, rice and refried beans. That's the meal he always chooses. So my parents are coming over too and we'll visit with everyhone until it's time to leave to take our daughter home. She came home because her sister, from her dad's 2nd marriage, had her baby this week. So we've got a 5-6 hour round trip for the day. I'll be back to write more about that later.
Have a great day!

Sure Cuts A Lot!

If you are a scrapbooker and have a Cricut machine this program is well worth the investment. I was skeptical before I purchased it...but now that I have, I don't know how I managed without it. You can cut diecuts without the need for cartridges. There are lots of fee svg files out there and people that love to share. Click on the link and learn all about it!

My Son's B-Day!

Well, today is my son's B-day. I can't believe it's been 30+ years ago today that his tiny little face and hands blessed my life. I am truly proud of him. He is a kind and caring man. He's about to become an uncle for the 1st time today. His oldest half-sister is having her first baby! When I talked to him today - he was pretty excited! We're having his b-day dinner tomorrow - tacos, rice and refried beans! One of his favorite meals and one of mine.

Until something new invades my brain, so long for now!

1. Make a Blog

2. Pick up medication

3. Have contact prescription checked

4. Return clothes to Store

5. Fix Dinner

6. Finished 2 Scrapbook Pages

7. Fix Dinner

Well, that is it so far...I'm sure there will be more, once I think about it.
